Claymore by Norihiro Yagi is a fantasy/horror genre animé which has captured my attention lately due to its unique story and the animation’s intricate details compared to most shows these days.

In this series, humans coexist with yoma, demons who feed on humans, and this creates a conflict in this medieval setting. “Claymore” is the term used by humans to describe an organization of women who are half-human and half-yoma who are called by towns to prevent the yoma outbreak; the term comes from their ability to weild a claymore one-handed with much ease. Often called “silver-eyed witches” due to their distinctive silver hair and eyes, the Claymore have physical and mental characteristics that surpass both the yoma and humans due to their hybrid background; quick detection of demons and hybrids, fast healing, and enhanced physical strength are some basic abilities that a Claymore has.

So without further ado (and possibly spoil the series), I present to you:

  1. Anime isnt really my thing yet, but this looks absolutely excellent.

    Nice post, well done 🙂

  2. Considering this is the very first serious blog that I’ve made… haha!

  3. Nice one Dani 😀 See blogging is easy!

  4. What, I think it’s a bitch! xD

  5. Mmm, Claymore.

I’ve been reading the manga lately, it’s well worth a look ‘in if you’re into that sort of thing.

Think of it as Berserk, but instead of a guy wrecking shit, it’s a girl wrecking shit 😀

Less rape too, you can decide if that’s a good thing.
